Our Behavior Chart and Expectations
Learning is our top priority! Students learn best when the environment is conducive to learning. What makes the best learning environment? The best learning environment is one that is filled with safe, responsible, productive, and respectful students. To achieve this goal, our school has implemented PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support). PBIS is based on the premise that students need to be consistently taught the appropriate behaviors and then reminded and rewarded for exhibiting them.
Our classroom rules are based upon the following 4 target behaviors of PBIS:
· BE SAFE
· BE RESPECTFUL
· BE RESPONSIBLE
· BE PRODUCTIVE
Included in the curriculum, the staff will help your child to work on these behaviors. Our goal is that the students can work on using these behaviors both in and out of the school building.
